When Jesus said these words He declared His victory over the enemy of our souls (who is also the enemy of our bodies). The great serpent, the accuser, liar, murderer, whose only goal is to rob, kill, and destroy, is forever crushed and powerless before the Blood Jesus. The chaos and trauma of a brutal first century execution opens wide the door to a new life of complete redemption. May we walk in this amazing victory that Jesus offers us every single day.
