REQUIEM WINDOW

AuthorPostedbyKathleen Self on on January 22, 2024

Requiem Window, Oil with cold wax, silk, on canvas, 24″x36″

Today, January 22, is a special day of prayer for protection of the unborn. To the prayers around the world, I add this painting, a solemn offering of color and texture. I created this in honor of all the babies that started their lives in the secret hiding place that is their mother’s womb, but never saw the light of day. Selah

Part of being human is the cherishing of the next generation, that next little human with their very own DNA and fingerprints. If you have lost a baby, may you be comforted knowing that they are in Heaven, clothed with love, forever cherished by their Maker.
