Art gives us permission and space to pause and breathe. Ancient Hebrew poetry was a word for this: “selah.” We find this healing word sprinkled throughout the book of Psalms. My most recent painting, Day of Rest, is an echo of the concept of “selah.”Please, take a break from the hectic chaotic pace of our society. Let your heart slow to the peaceful rhythm of our Heavenly Father’s embrace. We are designed for rest.
